Production Process of 0.8mm HIPS Plastic Rolls

1. Raw Material Preparation

Virgin or recycled HIPS (High Impact Polystyrene) resin is selected and fed into the system. Color masterbatch and additives (if needed) are mixed to meet customer specifications.

2. Extrusion

The blended material is melted and plasticized through a high-temperature extruder. The molten HIPS is pushed through a flat die to form a continuous sheet.

3. Calendering & Thickness Control

The hot sheet passes through a series of calender rollers to adjust the thickness precisely to 0.8mm and to achieve the desired surface finish (glossy or matte).

4. Cooling

The sheet is gradually cooled through a cooling roller system to ensure uniform hardness, dimensional stability, and reduce internal stress.

5. Edge Trimming

Excess edges are trimmed to the required width for clean and even roll dimensions.

6. Surface Treatment (Optional)

Corona treatment or antistatic treatment can be applied depending on application requirements (e.g., for printing or electronics packaging).

7. Winding into Rolls

The finished HIPS sheet is rolled into coils/rolls with uniform tension and alignment. Roll diameter and length are customized per customer order.

8. Inspection & Quality Control
